Tools that answer the meeting-stopping questions
Every question a migration decision hits: what's in the estate, what does leaving this vendor cost, does the timeline fit, how locked in are we, and did the rules just change. Everything runs in your browser; nothing requires an account.
How the tools fit together
If you are starting from a VMware estate, the RVTools reference explains how to produce and read the inventory export the analyzer expects.
They chain in the order a real decision runs. The Alternative Finder comes first and answers the question the rest assume away: given your constraints, which products belong on the shortlist at all. After that, the analyzer (or your own inventory) establishes what you actually have and what blocks; the Lock-in Index calibrates how hard the incumbent will resist; the calculator turns sizing into a 3-year cost comparison; and the renewal planner tests whether the whole thing fits before your contract forces the question. The output of each step is the input to the next, and every migration path page links the relevant guide for execution.
When the decision reaches the sharp end, the contract on your desk and the data in the platform, the Exit Toolkit takes over. Its four tools can be opened directly: Renewal Redline scans contract text for lock-in clauses and missing buyer protections, Exit Readiness scores how prepared you are to leave a given vendor, the egress estimator prices getting your data out of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and the data portability checker answers whether your data can leave in a format something else can read.
Terms used across the tools, from front-end terabyte to core factor to BSL, are defined in the migration glossary, and the assumptions behind every cost model are set out in our methodology.
